Father: Joseph Walter "Joe" Jackson (a former boxer, was a steelworker at U.S. Steel)

The Jackson 5 Group
In 1964, Michael and Marlon joined a band formed by their father, the Jackson Brothers, which included brothers Jackie, Tito, and Jermaine as a backup musician but in the year 1965, the group name changed as Jackson 5. The Jackson 5 group performed in clubs, cocktail lounges, local auditoriums, and high school dances.
In August 1967, on touring the East coast, this group won a weekly amateur night concert at "Apollo Theater" in Harlem.
The Jackson 5 recorded so many songs, 'Big Boy' (first single), 'I Want You Back' 1969, 'ABC' 1970, 'The Love You Save' 1970, and ' I'll Be There ' 1970. The last four ones were at #1on the Billboard Hot 100. The album was at the top of Billboard 200 charts for the 37 weeks and in the top 10 of 200 for 80 consecutive weeks.
