When the Idols from the 12 temples are stolen, CBI officer Nidhi Verma (Mahie Gill) suspects Ishwar Prasad of the theft, and so, in order to expose him, recruits suspended IAS officers Chanchal Chauhan (Bhumi Pednekar) for the job.
Chanchal goes to live in the ancient Durgamati mansion, and soon enough, the ghost of Durgamati takes over Chanchal's body and promises to swear revenge on everyone who has wronged her.
