Directed by Ryan Coogler, sequel of Black Panther (2018), Black Panther: Wakanda Forever aka Black Panther 2 movie has released to watch in cinemas on Veterans Day Holiday, 11 November 2022. The film stars Letitia Wright, Dominique Thorne, Winston Duke, Michaela Coel, Florence Kasumba, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Martin Freeman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Angela Bassett in their pivotal roles.
Veterans Day (originally known as Armistice Day) is a federal holiday in the United States celebrated annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces (who were discharged under conditions other than dishonorable).
It coincides with other holidays including Armistice Day and Remembrance Day which are memorialized in other countries that mark the anniversary of the end of World War First.
In the film, Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever, the leaders of Wakanda fight to protect their nation in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. That’s the main story of the film.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premiered at the El Capitan Theatre and the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on October 26, 2022 and in Lagos, Nigeria on November 6, 2022, which Deadline Hollywood described as the first Marvel film to hold a local premiere.
The film began releasing internationally on November 9, 2022 and in the United States on November 11 on On Veterans Day.
The film was released theatrically in France, despite the country’s 17-month waiting period for when films can appear on streaming services after its theatrical release. Disney’s decision to release Wakanda Forever in theaters was encouraged by the French government’s acknowledgment that their media chronology needed to be modernized and their timeline to do so, after previously opting to skip the theatrical release of their film Strange World and release it directly to Disney+.
Under the current chronology, Wakanda Forever will first become available on Disney+ in France in early 2024. It is the final film of Phase Four of the MCU.
Taling about the movie reviews and rating, it received positive reviews from critics, who praised the cast‘s performances (particularly Wright’s, Huerta’s, and Bassett’s), emotional weight, Coogler’s direction, action sequences, musical score, and tribute to Chadwick Boseman.
