Yes! I was Raped. I was raped by my uncle!!! – these were her last words. I don’t want to tell her name…it’s just a story of her and a dark truth of this society. This is her story. A story of an innocent teen who didn’t know anything about sex. And she was sexually assaulted and her family members didn’t pay any heed.
The story begins when she was in 6th class, Her financial situation wasn’t good enough. So, she had to stay at uncle’s place for a year.
When all this happened with her, she wasn’t aware of bad or good touch but deep down she felt very bad or disgusting about this sin.
In childhood, she was too quiet because her parents taught her that — “ A disciplined child always just listens, not speak.“
After that night, she became miserably silent, she wasn’t sad, she was just confused that after that night why her inner thighs were paining. She wanted to discuss her situation with her aunt still she didn’t utter a single word against her uncle.
One day, She collected all of her courage to speak out. After all the equational vibration, She told her aunt everything, she was listening to her with her denial looks. She was getting the vibes that she will create some problems for her. She wasn’t ready to accept that her husband can do anything like that, even she threatened her not to say anything to her parents.
After all the threatening, still, She didn’t get her answer to what actually had happened with her? Was it good or bad?
She was scared and she promised herself that now she will not share anything about that night to anyone because she thought that if she ever shared that incident, everyone will blame her.
She never failed in any exams but at that time she got back in 3 subjects.
Each and every day, she was dealing with her dilemma and her anxiety.
One day, she got a call from her father and he started shouting at her about bad performance in exams. She had a lot to say but she didn’t utter a word.); After that, she promised her dad that she will study hard and disconnected the call.
After that, she decided to write a diary so she won’t feel alone and heavy, every night she wiped her tears and wrote her diary. She wrote everything in it, what her uncle did with her, her dilemma, emotional state, and everything.
After a month, her dad came to take her to the home for only the weekend. She used to be so excited earlier but now there was no excitement and all the shine in her eyes was lost somewhere. She packed a bag and took diary along with her.
It was midnight, they all were sleeping except her dad, he woke her up and hugged her tightly, She can feel her dad tears on back, all sudden she saw the diary on dad’s blanket. The night was silent but they were creating noise, their tears were just falling down.
The next day her dad told everything to mom, She was feeling so happy after a month that finally, she will get to know that what actually that was.
She asked her mom what was happened to her but she didn’t say anything. She could see her wet eyes. She asked her again, so she told that it is not good for you and whatever he did was wrong.
She cried all day that he did wrong to her. She told her dad that to go and slap him, he should be punished, but her dad shouted at me “go and sleep”.
She started believing that it was her fault that’s why everyone is just shouting and threatening her. She was growing up with her depression and her parents didn’t take any heed.
In India, we treat sex as a Taboo. I just want to know if it is a taboo then why India has a population of 1,469 million. Is it a God gift or your so-called taboo?
It is really important for parents that they should talk to their children about good or bad touch. I know, people are not comfortable talking up these sensitive topics, but the learning has to start at home and it is all about your children’s safety. Just put aside your doubts and inhibitions and talk to your little ones in a simple way, like a play methodology, like we do for many other things.
All the dark clouds made her a believer and a positive person. The last words she said — ” I just thanked all people who made me feel guilty about myself, your fake beliefs made me a believer. I smile every day like today is my last day.”
