During the shooting of this film, Salman and Aishwarya gave heart to each other in real life as well. But with the passage of time, the relationship of both of them started weakening and today the situation is that both do not like to hear each other's name.

Eventually both of them broke up in the year 2002. According to media reports, Aishwarya Rai said in an interview after the breakup, 'He used to call me and talk nonsense. He always suspected that I was having an affair with someone. He also beat me up several times.'
