Julianne Moore starring in Julie Taymor’s The Glorias | Directed by Julie Taymor, The Glorias has changed from a theatrical release to Amazon Prime Video. The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, acquired by Roadside Attractions and LD Entertainment.
The Glorias takes place across five decades with Julianne Moore, Alicia Vikander, and others portraying Gloria Steinem at different stages of her life.
According to a report of Deadline, The Glorias is a biopic on veteran journalist and activist Gloria Steinem which was earlier set to hit the theatres on 25 September 2020 but now it would premiere on Amazon Prime Video in the US and Canada.
The film has starrer Julianne Moore and Alicia Vikanderalso, also featuring Bette Midler as Bella Abzug, Janelle Monae as Dorothy Pitman Hughes, Timothy Hutton as Leo Steinem, and Lorraine Toussaint as Florynce Kennedy.
The film will also be available for purchase on all E-Sell through platforms starting September 30.

“The message of Gloria’s life and activism and spirit speak so strongly to the current moment, and we collectively decided to pivot from a theatrical release to this new, digital plan to give the film its widest audience, right away,” — said by Roadside co-president Howard Cohen and Eric d’Arbeloff.
Written by Sarah Ruhl with Taymor who has also produced the film alongside Alex Saks of Page Fifty-Four Productions and Lynn Hendee. David Kern, Marcei A Brown, Jenny Warburg, Amy Richards, Sarah Johnson, and Regina Scully served as Executive Producers. The production team includes Sandy Powell, Elliot Goldenthal, cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto, designer Kim Jennings, and editor Sabine Hoffman.
