American Popstar Selena Gomez is added in the cast of Hulu’s new comedy show "Only Murders in the Building" joined Steve Martin and Martin Short. The show had received a straight-to-series order from the streamer in January month this 2020 year.
Only Murders in the Building Co-Created and written by Martin and John Hoffman, the series follows three strangers ( Martin, Short, and Gomez), who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one.
Hulu’s head of originals Craig Erwich said to Deadline statement, "I heard the pitch on Wednesday, and it was the best hour I had all week. It’s really special, surprisingly emotional. It’s really modern and self-referential about podcasts and murders, it’s got some great surprises. When they pull this off, it’s going to be really special."
The studios are The 20th Century Fox Television and part of Disney TV Studio, executive produced by "This Is Us" creator Dan Fogelman.
The television series is the latest Workfront together Martin and Short, whose friendship began 35-years ago. The duo is recently going on a comedy tour together, called Now You See Them, Soon You Won’t Tour.
Selena Gomez will also serve as executive producer alongside Martin, Hoffman, Short, Fogelman, and Jess Rosenthal.
