In an exclusive interview with The Observer Magazine ( The Guardian Interview), singer Toni Braxton (52) discussed her upbringing, career, and more. During the conversation, she revealed that sex is something she wishes would’ve happened more often, at a younger age.
“I regret not having more sex when I was younger. I should have drunk more. I should have partied more. Smoked more, even,” — Braxton stated.
The 52-years-old singer added that her religious upbringing is why she didn’t.
“I think my religious upbringing stopped me doing a lot of things that I should have done. It’s not a good look at the age I am now. The way it works is you do that stuff in your 20s and 30s and then in your 40s you’ve earned enough to pay for the therapy,” — more further she added.
Braxton grew up with a number of religions. For a time, her family identified as Jehova’s Witnesses, then as Catholics before finally settling on becoming United Methodists premarital sex is frowned upon by all of those religions.
I’m always trying to find balance.
She also stated that how meeting with Stevie Wonder was absolutely massive to her. “It was starstruck meeting Stevie Wonder. He was touching my face – which is how he “sees” – and telling me how beautiful I was. I was, like: “You could cop a feel right now, Stevie, and I wouldn’t care – you’re Stevie Wonder!” I’m a huge fan, ” — Toni said in the interview.
She also disclosed that her son was diagnosed with autism when he was three and she worked with the charity ” Austin Speaks “.
