Touted to be an action thriller Bollywood “Queen” Kangana Ranaut starrer Dhaakad is all geared up for its release. The film directed and showrun by Razneesh Razy Ghai releases on Friday, May 20th, 2022.

The already much-hyped movie had been creating a lot of buzz after the release of its power-packed trailer in which Kangana can be seen in full action avatar as agent Agni performing action sequences with excellency and confidence.

The trailer also shows the dashing Arjun Rampal as the deadliest villain Rudraveer, playing as a coal mafia. The film is produced by Deepak Mukut and Sohel Maklai and holds the banners of Sohum Rockstar Entertainment, Sohel Maklai Productions and Asylum Films.

Dhaakad Screen Count

The movie is releasing on 2200 screens across the nation, KGF2 is already performing well and another Hindi release Bhool Bhoolaiya has more buzz, thereby the screens are distributed accordingly.

Dhaakad Advance Bookings

Advance bookings of Kangana’s espionage thriller were opened two days ahead of the release, the film couldn’t live up to the expectations from the advance as its trailer has shown.

Seems like the cinephiles are not interested in Kangana’s latest flick so much so that the 30% of the morning shows of the film has got canceled owing to no audience.

Dhaakad Box Office Clash

Kangana Ranaut starrer is facing a direct clash with Kartik Aryan starrer highly-anticipated Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which is the sequel of Khiladi Akshay Kumar’s 2007 horror comedy-drama Bhool Bhulaiyaa.

To avoid the clash with other biggies like RRR, BB2 was postponed many times, however, it is ultimately going to deal with Kangana’s action-packed thriller. Well, the hype seems more on Kartik Aryan’s flicks side and it will be astonishing if the Kangana’s film rakes in more amount.

Dhaakad Reviews

Critics panned the film’s script severely while praising the Kangana’s performance, they gave the film mixed to the negative reviews. TOI, NEWS18 gave the film 3 out of 5 stars, while the entertainment portal Koimoi gave the film 1 star out of 5.

Dhaakad Movie Budget

The Kangana Ranaut, Arjun Rampal, and Divya Dutta starrer is said to be made with over a Rs 100 Cr budget, let’s see if the film could cover the budget or not.

Dhakkad Day 1 Box Office Collection

Although recently release Bollywood movies films have not been able to do well at Box office, except Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files, which bring Tsunami at the Box office and crosses Rs. 30o crore, the expectations are very high from Kangana’s Dhaakad.

As per the estimation, Dhaakad will be going to mint in the range of Rs 4 to 5 Crore, there is no denying that Kangana is a formidable female action star and which she has shown in the film also, but she must choose a good script also.

The film also has been certified A by CBFC on June 17, 2022 and will have a run time of 2 Hour, 11 minute and 34 Seconds, shared film critic Taran Adarsh on social media:
