Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Movie Review: After being postponed multiple times due to COVID-19 pandemic, Kartik Aryan and Kiara Advani starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has finally been released today in cinema halls. The audience has been very excited for the film since it was announced.

Actually, it was quite obvious as its predecessor- Akshay Kumar starrer Bhool Bhualiayaa 2 has set a benchmark and is even considered as a cult classic. The Priyadarshan directorial was a masterpiece and was liked to become one of the highest-grossing movies of the year 2007.

However, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which is said to be BB’s sequel has nothing to do with the film. As Bhool Bhulaiyaa was a psychological thriller and a remake of the Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu, on the other side, only the character Majulika and Chota Pandit, played by Rajpal Yadav has were taken from the original one.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Story: What’s The Movie About?

The horror-comedy has a completely different story to tell to its viewers from BB. It depicts that around 18 years ago, a family was harassed by the spirit of Manjulika in Bhawanigarh, Rajasthan, and a tantrik Govind Named traps the spirit in a room of a castle.

Reet Rathore, a girl who was away for studies, belongs to the same family and returns back to Bhawanigarh, she meets Ruhan Randhawa. The duo met in the snowy region of Himachal Pradesh and Ruhan insists Reet to spend some time at a music festival.

However, Reet who was about to catch the bus, leave the bus for the music festival. Later, that bus met with an accident, killing everyone on board. It was destiny that takes him to the duo to the same abandoned castle. It was the moment when Manjulika get released, which leads to destruction everywhere.

Performance of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Star Cast

The story as well as the screenplay of Aakash Kaushik and the direction of Anees Bazmee deliver a fine mix of horror-comedy, romance and horror. Bazmee’s direction brings the best out of the star cast, he knows the art of humor and with BB2 he excelled once again.

The performance of Kartik Aaryan was amazing and his transition to Rooh Baba is commendable. The actor will surely tickle your funny bones and grab your eyeballs, talking about Kiara, she has got a role of some substance after a long time and does a good job. Her elegance and her chemistry with Kartik Aryan is beautiful, also, she acts well in horror scenes.

Among the performances, Tabu just lead the packs and she once again proved why she has been rated so high as a versatile actress. Other than this, the comic time of veterans like Rajpal Yadav and Sanjay Mishra  will leave you in splits.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Soundtrack

The film’s music and background score is impressive and it is composed by Pritam and Tanishq Bagchi with lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, Sameer, Yo Yo Honey Singh and Mandy Gill.

The title track is recreated by Bagchi and is sung by Neeraj Shridhar, Mellow D and Bob, whereas, “De Taali” is sung. by Yo Yo Honey Singh, Armaan Malik and Shashwant Singh. The popular track from the original film “Ami je Tomar” also has its reprised version from the previous film and is melodious.

Over all, the film is a perfect family entertainer and has a potential to bring the audiences back to the theatres in bulk.  It is highly recommendable and has all the masala and a perfect dose of horror comedy and entertainment. In our opinion the film will cross 2 digit mark in the opening day and push more and more people in the theatres in the upcoming days.
