Directed by Buzz Luhrmann of “Red Curtain Trilogy” fame, Elvis is a biographical musical film, based on the life journey of late American actor and singer Elvis Presley, who is regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century.
The film has the screenplay of Luhrmann, Sam Bromell, Craig Pearce, and Jeremy Donor and the story of doner & Luhrmann and doner. Luhrmann is also donning the hat of the producer in association with Gail Beman, Chatherine Martin, Patrick McCormick, and Schuyler Weiss under the banners of Barzpark Films and The Jackal Group.
On the technical front, Mandy Walker is serving as the director of cinematography, Matt Villa and Jonathan Redmond is taking care of the editing work. Elliott Wheeler has composed the music and background score of the film.
Elvis Star Cast
The star-packed film features young American actor/ singer Austin Butler in the lead role as Elvis. He is best known for his notable roles in movies like Ruby & the Rockets, The Carrie Diaries, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Young Elvis will be played by Chaydon Jay.
Recently Harry Styles, who is part of one of the most popular music band “One Direction”, has also revealed that he auditioned for the of Elvis, but eventually Austin Butler was cast for that role.
The film stars veteran actor Tom Hanks as Elvis’s manager, Colonel Tom Parker, who played an important role to shape Elvis career. Also, It will feature Helen Thomas as Elvis’s mother Gladys Presley, Richard Roxburgh as his father Vernon Presley, Olivia DeJonge as his wife Priscilla Presley, Luke Bracey as Jerry Schilling, Natasha Bassett as Dixie Locke.
Other than these stars, the film also features Patrick Sheare, David Wenham, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Josh McConville, Kate Mulvany, Kelvin Harrison, Xavier Samuel, Adam Dunn, Leon Ford, Yola Quartey, Alton Mason, Gary Clark Jr. and many others.
Elvis Release Date
The biographical drama is set to release theatrically on June 24, 2022 in USA and other parts of the World, while in Australia, it will be released on June 22, 2022. The theatrical distribution rights are acquired by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Before its theatrical release, Elvis will have its world premiere at the 75th Annual Cannes Film Festival, which started from Tuesday, May 17 and will be concluded on May 28, 2022. The film will be premiered on May 25 at the event.

Elvis Trailer
The trailer of the film was released on 17th Feb 2022, by its makers, and Austin Butler as Elvis is just stealing the hearts and bringing the king back to life. The 3.5-minute-long trailer travels back to Presley’s childhood and covers his unprecedented rise to fame.
It also shows Elvis’s relationship with his enigmatic manager Colonel Tom Parker, central to that journey is one of the most significant and influential people in Elvis’s life, Priscilla Presley, who was his ex-wife.
