The popular OTT platform Netflix has announced a documentary film about K-Pop Group Blackpink, titled Blackpink: Light Up the Sky to release on October 14, 2020. The film follows the K-pop girl group from their initial training days to their brilliant rise to fame. The film marks Netflix's first K-pop original docu-movie.

Recently the K-pop Blankpink dropped one of their hottest tracks, which broke records and made a place in "Billboard Hot 100" debut with Selena Gomez in ‘Ice Cream’ on #13.

Netflix's Blackpink: Light Up The Sky will deliver a never-seen-before look at the lives of band members Ji-soo Kim, Jennie Kim, Roseanne Park, and Lalisa Manoban, commonly known as Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa respectively.

The docufilm is directed by Salt Fat Acid Heat's director Caroline Suh while produced by the banner RadicalMedia.
