South star actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has many pan India projects in her kitty, she will be seen this year in a Telugu sci-fi thriller Yashoda. The family man 2 fame starrer begins the shooting in December last year.

As per the latest reports, the film is currently in the last leg of the production and soon the post-production work will commence. Recently, it was reported that the Hollywood action choreographer Yannick Ben was roped in for the film, he later said in an interview that Samantha had performed his choreographing sequences in one go.

Well, how much Samantha is capable of pulling in the tough scenes we have seen the glimpse of it in The Family Man 2. Reportedly, she will essay the same kind of a role in Yashoda too given some of the viral stills from the sets of the film.

Yashoda Movie Release Date

Yashoda is slated to hit the theatres during Independence day weekend on 12 August 2022. The sci-fi film will be released in all five Indian languages original version of Telugu and then dubbed version in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Recently makers had unveiled the first glimpse of the film, featuring Samantha, the 35 secs short teaser starts with Samantha waking up in a room that she is unaware of, she further goes towards the windows and tries to touch the Pigeon outdoor, further camera ends up showing where she is living is not just a room, but a labyrinth.

Star Cast of Yashoda

Samantha will play the titular role in the film as Yashoda, Tamil actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Mollywood’s star Unni Mukundan will also be playing the key characters along with Samantha. Other actors include Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada, and Priyanka Sharma.

Yashoda is directed and written by the duo Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan and bankrolled by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the banner Sridevi Movies. The technical parts include M. Sukumar cranking the camera, Marthand K. Venkatesh was onboard for the editing and it is a Mani Sharma musical film. Dialogues are written by Pulagam Chinnarayana (his works include Prema Oka Maikam, Gulf, and Bluff Master) and Challa Bhagyalakshmi.
