After banned 59 Chinese apps, including some popular social media ones as TikTok, WeChat, Turbo VPN, Vmate, and UC Browser almost a month ago, and now the Indian government is thinking one more step ahead to ban 49 more Chinese apps and this time it is possible that the most popular action game PlayerUnknown’s BattlegroundsPUBG MOBILE” may be in the list. According to secret reports, the government is planning to ban popular online game PUBG which has a huge south Asian region.

PubG has now become one of the most playing games, especially in countries India and Pakistan. According to a report by IANS, the game has still over 175 million active installs in India.

In the first three months of the year, PUBG Mobile has earned a huge global revenue gain of $1.3 billion dollars (roughly Rs 9,731 crore).

The gamers also earn some revenue from it and there is a chance of winning anywhere from Rs. 100K to Rs. 1M for the first prize in weekly and monthly PUBG competitions.

PUBG Mobile: Is Chinese?

Unlike the other apps that have been completely banned, PUBG is not a whole Chinese product. It was developed and published by a subsidiary of South Korean video game company Bluehole

. After it started gaining popularity Chinese company Tencent joined together with Bluehole to command over distribution and market it in China.

In India, The game is distributed by Tencent Holdings. The banning of these apps happening because of the reason that the Indian government fears that the game might be used for breaching privacy and will steal personal information.

PUBG Ban In Pakistan

Previously, Pakistan also banned the Chinese app as cases of suicide were on the rise in the country. Reports say that the game craze spiking to harmful extents which made Pakistan decided to ban on it. In several cases of suicide, the reason cited was a failure in completing tasks on the viral gaming app.

The PTA had issued an official statement that revealed that there are a number of received complaints about the game, that it is being too addictive, a full waste of time and having a negative impact on children’s physical and psychological health and mind.
